The RPS series switching mode power supplies are specifically designed to power inductive loads generated in stepper and servo systems. The normal regulated switching power supplies popular on the market are usually working with bad reliability and low efficiency when used in stepper and servo driving, this is because that the conventional switching power supplies are designed for constant and unvarying loads. Whereas, when the stepper or servo system running, the driving current varies extremely fast, which is inherent to inductive loads, wherein the drives and power supplies would be damaged easily if used normal power supplies. The RPS series supplies are capable of delivering current to drives without affecting reliability due to their bulky capacitors. By selecting the appropriate model, one power supply can supply 1-3 drives, saving the average cost of per shaft.
