Motion Control Products Ltd supply a wide range of brushless linear servo motors. Linear motors are direct drive servo motors, with only two fundamental parts: 1) Moving coil; 2) Fixed magnet track. The magnet track is statically mountable to a solid baseplate and the coil is directly coupled to the moving load. The magnet tracks can be butted together to give almost unlimited length travel and operate in a similar way to standard rotary brushless servo motor technology. However, linear motors have key advantages over rotary servo motors such as higher precision, velocity, acceleration, accuracy and repeatability.

AUM Series Linear Motor

AUM brushless motors feature with patented winding method that creates both a large continuous force (up to 2340N) and peak force (up to 16200N). By using ironless technology, AUM linear motor does not produce cogging force and it has a low moving mass, which gives exceptionally smooth motion and high dynamics. With or without Hall sensor, our best-selling AUM motor is ideal for applications that require fast settling times and high precision such as biomedical equipment, printing and laser processing etc.

ACR Series Linear Motor

The ACR Series frameless motors incorporate a high-performance permanent magnet to deliver high torque in a low-profile, light weight design. Their thin, curved shape with a large centre hole allows the applications in a limited angle or for 360-degree operation. Integrated with Hall sensor and temperature sensor, the unique design makes it possible for very high precision motion around an arc length that would otherwise require a sizeable rotary system to accomplish.

AWM Series Linear Motor

These vacuum-compatible AWM series ironless linear motors deliver high continuous and peak forces with zero cogging. AWM motors have a high motor constant and are available in multiple coil lengths. It is vacuum compatible (RGA tested in 1×10 Torr vacuum), with integrated Hall sensors. AWM series use patented winding technology which creates high continuous force and peak force. It is ideal for positioning, motion profile tracking, velocity controlling applications.
