High Reliability with Closed Loop Control
With the power of advanced stepper drive technology, Leadshine’s closed-loop stepper drives operate from a DC power source and deliver exceptional performance, advanced networking, and built-in safety. They can function as stand-alone devices or as part of a multi-axis system in a distributed configuration on a real-time network. All models are fully compatible with CS series closed-loop stepper motors.
There are five series in the closed-loop family:
- CS3E Series: EtherCAT communication, 20–110 VDC supply, maximum output current 8.0 A
- 2CS3E Series: Dual-axis control, EtherCAT communication, 20–50 VDC supply, maximum output current 7.0 A
- 2CS3EIP Series: Dual-axis control, EtherNet/IP communication, 20–50 VDC supply, maximum output current 7.0 A
- CS2RS Series: Modbus RTU communication, 20–110 VDC supply, maximum output current 8.0 A
- CS Series: Pulse & Direction / CW & CCW control, 20–110 VDC supply, maximum output current 8.0 A

CS-D Series (Step&Dir / CW&CCW)
The CS series closed-loop stepper drives are a next-generation replacement for the ES-series easy servo drives. They incorporate the latest closed-loop control technology and can power a range of closed-loop stepper motors from NEMA 8 to NEMA 34 (model dependent) with incremental encoders. With easy configuration and setup, the CS series is reliable and cost-effective, offering excellent performance.

CS3E Series (EtherCAT)
The CS3E series stepper drives offer multiple operating modes, including Cyclic Synchronous Position, Profile Position, Profile Velocity, and Homing. They can be operated with various EtherCAT controllers and PLCs brands such as Beckhoff, Omron, Trio, Schneider etc.

CS2RS Series (Modbus RTU)
CS2RS models support RS485 communication with a standard Modbus RTU protocol that can network up to 31 axes, and eliminates potential loss of step with its closed-loop step system that makes real-time position error corrections. The device also features a built-in uni-axial control instruction with a 16-segment position table supporting positioning/homing/limit/quick stop/JOG.
