MForce Stepper Drive
Novanta's MForce® stepper drive with optional integrated controller is a compact, high-performance solution for industrial automation, laboratory instruments, and OEM machinery, combining advanced microstepping technology with flexible control options. The MForce series incorporates the same patented technology and programming as the industry-leading MDrive Plus products, just without the integrated stepper motor. It offers up to 20 resolution settings from full step to 256 microsteps per full step, an extended operating temperature range, and advanced current control for smooth, precise, and reliable motion.
MForce® stepper drives are offered in 3 versions:
- Step/direction input – perfect for simple PLC or pulse-based control and allows parameterisation via an SPI interface
- Motion Control - integrates a programmable controller with RS-422/485 communications, supporting point-to-point or multi-axis networks
- CANOpen - supports CiA301 and CiA402 protocols, enabling seamless integration into distributed motion systems.
This flexible, open communication concept allows for integration into existing system environments.
The MForce is available in the following power ranges:
- MForce MicroDrive: +12 to +48 VDC, delivering 3 A RMS (4 A peak) output current
- MForce PowerDrive: +12 to +75 VDC, delivering up to 5 A RMS (7 A peak) per phase
