Leadshine MX3660 was a specially designed to allow EASY and RAPID implementation of 3-axis stepper solutions for many industrial applications.

Based on latest DSP technology and adopting Leadshine's advance stepper control algorithm, Leadshine MX3660 comes with advanced features such as anti resonance for low & middle speed motor movement, multi-stepping, automatic idle current reduction, and input pulse train smoothing. With the working voltage of 20-60VDC and output current up to 6.0A (peak of sinusoidal), MX3660 can drive 3 two-phase stepper motors in frame size NEMA 17, 23, 24, or 34 at high precision with extra low motor heating, very smooth motor movement, and low noise.

Via DIP switches of a MX3660, a user can easily set stepper motor current and resolution configurations.  You can configure the micro step resolution for any driven stepper motor to one of the 8 available settings of 200, 400, 800, 1,600, 2,000, 3,200, 6,400, and 12,800; output current configuration to one of the 8 available settings of 1.45A, 2.08A, 2.72A, 3.37A, 4.05A, 4.72A, 5.35A, and 6.0A. Each individual axis can be set with different configuration. For example, you can configure axis 1 with 1/16 micro step & 6.0A to drive a large NEMA 34 stepper motor, axis 2 with 1/10 micro step and 2.72A to drive a NEMA 23 stepper motor, and axis 3 with 1/8 micro step and 1.45A current to drive a NEMA 17 stepper motor.

A Leadshine MX3660 3-axis stepper drive comes with an integrated breakout board with DB25 connector and built-in IO's for easy connections to devices like a motion controller / PLC, limit switches, VFD, E-Stop… This allows MX3660 to be rapidly set up with some popular control systems such as Mach3 and EMC. Therefore, it can save installation space & time, minimize wiring, increase system reliability, and cut costs for extra component addition.

A Leadshine MX3660 stepper drives can also be used as a general purpose 3-axis stepper drive to work with any step/direction controllers or PLC's, which will allow full control of 3 stepper motors. While using the DB25 connector to input control signals, fault signals (if any) can be sent back to connected controller / PLC / external devices. Users also have freedom to choose whatever available built-in inputs / outputs to use.

For many PLC's and motion controllers (especially software based), output pulse train may contain "noise" pulses which would affect system performance. A MX3660 3-axis stepper drive has a "smoother" switch which could smooth (application dependant) those high frequency pulses and improve the whole motion control systems.

MX3660 adopts modular design for the 3 individual stepper drive boards. This makes easy replacement for any drive model as needed, at low cost. Those stepper drive modules can be even quickly implemented for high volume OEM applications.
