Our newly launched high-precision gearboxes from Wanshsin offer tailored solutions for a wide range of applications, from general-purpose use to high-load, high-rigidity environments. The planetary gearbox family includes several distinct series:

  • WPL / WPF Economical Series: Compact and lightweight, ideal for low-precision, cost-effective applications.
  • WTH / WTHR Series: Enhanced rigidity and load capacity, perfect for demanding conditions requiring high torque and stability.
  • WSH / WSHR Series: Higher power density with advanced four-planet-gear output, delivering superior torque and positioning accuracy.
  • WTN Rotary Platform Series: Helical gear design with precise tooth grinding ensures minimal backlash and low noise. Equipped with extreme pressure grease and crossed roller bearings, it excels in low-backlash, high-load environments. The one-piece input shaft and larger hollow hole improve performance and simplify cable management.
  • WVRB / WVRBR Series: Designed for high torque and radial load applications. Features a square flange and quenched helical gears (HRC62). The integrated shaft design improves torsional rigidity and rotational accuracy. Available as inline or right-angle configurations.
  • WAE / WAER Series: Also for high torque and radial load applications. Features a round flange and quenched helical gears (HRC62). The integrated shaft design increases torsional rigidity and rotational accuracy. Available as inline or right-angle designs.

Each series is engineered for specific operational needs, ensuring reliable performance in applications such as laser cutting, robotics, and heavy-duty AGVs.

Gearbox Structure Advantages

High Radial Load Capacity: WTH / WTHR

The WTH Series high radial loading capacity planetary gearbox is an advanced engineering solution designed to offer superior performance in demanding applications. This series, which includes the WTH (in-line) and WTHR (right angle) models, significantly enhances overall rigidity, vibration resistance, and load-bearing capacity in any direction, making it ideal for industries requiring robust performance and precision.

Hollow-shaft Rotary Platform: WTN

  • Helical gear design and specialised tooth profile machining increase the contact ratio and reduce noise
  • Low backlash within 0.5 arc-min, preventing jamming, reducing heat generation, and providing stable performance
  • Extreme pressure grease is particularly suited for low-backlash, high-load conditions, extending service life
  • Crossed roller bearings enhance load capacity
  • One-piece input shaft design prevents slippage

High precision Gearbox: WAE /WAER

  • Round flange output with a shorter axial dimension
  • using double-supported deep groove ball bearings, providing high radial load capacity
  • High-Speed Input (Up to 10,000 rpm), low backlash (≤2 arc-min in 1-stage and ≤3 arc-min in 2-stage configurations)
  • Versatile Gear Ratios: Modular design enables high-speed ratios by combining planetary gearboxes.

Economical Series: WPL / WPF

  • WPL Series features a round flange and WPF Series features a square flange
  • Spur gear with single support bearing
  • Shaft output supported by a pair of deep groove ball bearings
  • Compact, lightweight, and economical
  • Low temperature rise during continuous operation with low output torque
  • Suitable for general applications where high precision, protection, and loading are not critical

Technology Overview: What is Planetary Gearbox?

A planetary gearbox is a compact and efficient mechanical system composed of four key components:

  • the sun gear,
  • planet gears,
  • ring gear, and
  • carrier.

The sun gear, typically serving as the input gear, drives the planet gears, which revolve around it while rotating on their own axes. The planet gears are mounted on the carrier, which serves as the output shaft. The ring gear encloses the planet gears and limits their motion.

As the sun gear rotates, it drives the planet gears to spin around the ring gear, causing the carrier to rotate. This configuration slows down the output speed while increasing torque, making planetary gearboxes highly effective for applications requiring high torque in a compact form.
