WP Series Industrial Wet Can Pumps

Why choose our WP series wet can pumps?

Our WP series industrial wet can pumps are exceptionally well-engineered and durable. They feature a ‘wet can’ or ‘wet rotor’ design, where the pumped fluid flows inside the motor. This offers two significant advantages:

  • The motor remains cool.
  • The construction eliminates the need for a seal.

Seals are typically the weakest point in a pump, and eliminating the need for them significantly enhances reliability.

BLDC Pumps Features

  • Flow rates of up to 600 litres per minute.
  • Sealless design with canned construction, also known as a wet rotor.
  • Heads up to 30 metres.
  • Choice of port sizes and orientations.
  • Continuous operation: 24 hours a day for up to 20,000 hours.
  • Fluid temperature range: typically from -40°C to 85°C.
  • Wide range of DC voltages: from 12 to 800 volts DC.
  • High efficiency.
  • Speed and flow control via PWM.
  • Ideal for OEM applications

Applications

Our pumps are well-suited to a range of applications, including:

  • Thermal management of static batteries, such as those used for energy storage in grid applications.
  • Cooling gearboxes and generators in wind turbines.
  • Solar panels.
  • Cooling generators in hydro-electric power applications.
  • Thermal management in the renewable energy industry.
  • Cooling dynamometers and other automotive testing applications.
  • Pump applications in ships, particularly modern vessels with a DC bus.
  • Any application where DC power is available and utilised.

Efficiency

Pumps are significant consumers of energy worldwide. To minimise energy consumption, speed control is increasingly preferred over throttling valves.

Our DC pumps utilise PWM signals for speed control, making them ideal for energy-conscious applications—because, let’s face it, energy efficiency is a priority in all modern applications. In a centrifugal pump, power consumption is roughly proportional to the cube of the pump speed, highlighting the importance of effective speed control.
