Introduction
The Leadshine ELD3 Series is a compact, high-performance DC servo drive engineered for demanding motion control applications where space and precision are critical. With a power range from 50W to 750W, rated voltage from 24V to 70V, and rated current up to 20A (peak current up to 50A), the ELD3 offers exceptional power density in a palm-sized footprint of just 76 x 50 x 33.5 mm.
Available with or without housing, the ELD3 is ideal for embedded designs or standalone integration. It supports a wide range of industrial protocols, including EtherCAT, CANopen, Modbus RTU, pulse, and analogue control, enabling seamless compatibility with various control architectures.
Designed with precision in mind, the ELD3 supports full closed-loop control, significantly improving positioning accuracy by compensating for mechanical backlash and system non-linearities. The drive also supports dual absolute multi-turn encoders (ABZ, Tamagawa, BiSS-C), offering high-resolution feedback and reliable motion control for complex applications.
Engineers will appreciate the streamlined tuning process, allowing for rapid commissioning without compromising performance. Integrated Safe Torque Off (STO) and a logic power circuit enhance safety compliance and machine protection.
The ELD3 is highly adaptable, compatible with a wide range of motors including slotless DC motors, ELVM series servo motors, brushed motors, Hall-sensor motors, and voice coil actuators. It is particularly suited for AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), robotics, semiconductor equipment, precision linear systems, and compact automation assemblies.
With its blend of compact size, robust safety features, protocol flexibility, and high control precision, the ELD3 Series is an excellent choice for engineers seeking a reliable, space-efficient servo solution.
