Rack & Pinion Driven Actuators

The new LRP series is a high-performance, rack-and-pinion driven linear actuator designed for applications demanding high precision, heavy load capacity, and long travel distances. Available in LRP170 and LRP220 models, it delivers repeatable positioning accuracy of ±0.02 mm, combining the key advantages of belt-driven and ball-screw-driven systems in a compact, robust package.
Rack & Pinion Linear Electric Actuator
Precision Meets Long-Stroke Motion
LRP Series
High Load, High Precision
Designed as an effective alternative to both belt and ball screw mechanisms, the LRP actuator offers faster travel speeds and longer stroke lengths than most screw-type actuators, while maintaining higher precision than traditional belt-driven designs. With a standard maximum stroke of 5.5 metres—which can be extended via joint configurations—and speeds of up to 2.2 m/s, the LRP provides an ideal balance between accurate motion control and high-speed linear movement over long travel distances.
The system supports a maximum horizontal load of up to 300 kg and a vertical load of 80 kg, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial automation applications, applications such as high-payload multi-axis robotic arms system, automated production lines, and heavy-duty material handling.
Engineered for Performance and Reliability
Rack and pinion actuators are valued for their simplicity, durability, and efficient motion conversion. The LRP’s mechanical design ensures consistent torque and stable power transmission, minimising backlash and maximising reliability. It features a modular construction—comprising a unit body, coupling, reducer flange, and reducer—ensuring easy maintenance, integration, and long service life.
Whether you're automating precision machining, robotic movement, or large-scale material handling, the LRP series delivers the performance, flexibility, and reliability required for today’s industrial automation challenges.
